The Malta Maritime Museum (Maltese: Mużew Marittimu ta' Malta) is a maritime museum in Birgu, Malta. It is housed in the former Royal Naval Bakery, which was built in the 1840s as the main bakery for the Mediterranean Fleet. The museum has a collection of over 20,000 artifacts, and it is the largest museum on the island. The museum's aim is to illustrate Malta's maritime history, starting from prehistory to the present. The museum shows this within a Mediterranean and a global context.

Visitors to Malta can still take advantage of the characteristic Mediterranean weather that these islands are renowned for. Apart from the attraction of the expo itself, the Grand Harbour and the Cottonera, also known as the “Three Cities” of Vittoriosa (Birgu), Cospicua (Bormla) and Senglea (Isla), is an ideal location to spend a few days. A historical area with many museums, sites and restaurants at walking distance.
Finding a boutique hotel or apartment in Vittoriosa or the other two maritime cities of Cospicua and Senglea, which are both accessible on foot, is advised for lodging. One may also choose the nearby quaint sea-side village of Kalkara or right across the creek at the capital city of Valletta. Public transport, cabs, ferry and traditional Maltese boats (water taxi/weather permitting) are options for getting to and from Valletta.
