SSM competed for the first time at the World Nations Trophy Challenge during the Asociacion Modelista Torrent AMT in Valencia, Spain.

This is a competition in miniature figure painting where each nation selects a team to paint a selection of figures that have been chosen from the best of the previous year's releases. Each nation paints the same four figures plus an original scratch built one.

Up till now the competition has been won twice by Italy, twice by Spain and once by France. This challenge is organised at different locations during the best shows around Europe. This year's competition was won by Italy with the rest classified as follows:

Placing 2010

1st Italy

2nd Spain

3rd France

4th Greece

5th Malta

6th Portugal

The models are judged by the modellers themselves using a points system where a representative from each participant counytry gives points to each model except his own. Ray Farrugia was the appointed judge in Malta's case. Although Malta placed 5th, it was a great experience cherished by all. The next W.N.T. will be held at the World Expo in Montreaux, Switzerland.

Here are Malta's entries:
