History in Scale 2010

The Society for Scale Modellers IPMS Malta organised the 29th annual Malta Expo - History in Scale which was held from 3-11 April 2010. Home for the expo was once again the Air Battle of Malta Memorial Hangar, Malta Aviation Museum, Ta’ Qali surrounded by veteran WW2 RAF fighter planes from the Battle of Malta.

The Modelling Competition was held in the first weekend 3-4 April. It was based on the Open System and was open to all, local and foreign modellers. The Model Expo continued throughout the week and finished up with the museum’s annual event, the Open Weekend. This year, apart from the re-enactors and other in-progress restoration projects, we were able to admire the recent restored addition, a flying-condition biplane, the DH Tiger Moth.
